Where to watch the State of Origin

Where to watch the State of Origin
on 16 June 2021 in General News

Tom Trbojevic threw the Queensland Maroons off the stage, with a shocking win of 50-6 in Game I of the Ampol State of Origin that happened on Wednesday 9 June 2021 in Townsville, QLD. Scoring his second Origin hat trick, while setting up opportunities to win, Trbojevic certainly was at his best. Latrell Mitchell proved superb with a double, and winger Brian To’o also bagged in two tries.

A strong crowd of 27,533 turned out in Townsville’s Queensland Country Bank Stadium, with higher anticipation of roaring support for Game II. Word on the street is that the NSW Blues should be concerned.

Cameron Munster, a well and truly epic professional player, was completely off game in Origin I as Queensland admitted an embarrassing defeat. His poor game is speculated to serve as a warning to the Blues, that the maverick player will bounce back on his feet after recovering from a previous injury. After all, it isn’t common for star players to play terribly two games in a row.

So l bums to the edges of your seats as the excitement of Game II of the State of Origin begins. And here’s all you need to know about watching the game, without being there.

Game II of the Ampol State of Origin will be held at the Suncorp Stadium this Sunday 27 June 2021, with a scheduled kickoff at 7.50pm AEST.

Game III is happening on Wednesday 14 July at Stadium Australia in Sydney, New South Wales. Kickoff is scheduled at 8.10pm AEST.

Live entertainment line-up for Game II and III

Game II features Sheppard, an indie pop band that was founded in Brisbane. You’ll know the classics once they start getting played such as Geronimo and Coming Home. Needless to say, it’ll be a great opening act to keep the crowd pleased while awaiting the big game.

Game III has Lime Cordiale and JK47 playing in the finalé, providing quality music that will pair seamlessly with the high spirits and anticipation of the kickoff.

Game II State of Origin Schedule
